Of course, I would like to keep my data from my SHR drives. I Can't return it to newegg.ca (More than 30 days and I do not have the original box anymore). Unable to contact from the network.Īny advice of what I could do ? Already opened a case at Synology, received an automated answer that support is closed until 2nd February 2017 due to Chinese New Year. Below are the links I have been following. So I have been investigating the options to try to recover the data. And unfortunately, some of the data has not been backed up elsewhere. I have tried cycling the power, reseating the memory, rebooting, etc.

Blinking blue light for 20 minutes, green steady lights for "Status" and "Disks". When I walked over to the Status light is flashing green. Tried the trick to Power Off, remove all the disk, put a "new disk", power on (Took 10 minutes to boot), resintall DSM, power off, reinsert the 4 originals disk, same issue. No IP on the network (Looked at the router IP table). Took about 20 minutes of blinking blue light before the "Status" and "Disk" lights became green, but then again, no blinking on them. I then completely formatted the drive, repeated the DSM reinstall, rebooted and the web login was successful. This allows me to reinstall DSM, but on reboot following the reinstall it still won't let me log in.
#Synology disk led blinking green manual
So I removed the power from the unit and plugged it back. From the manual the status LED should become ORANGE Flashing, instead it flashes green. The STATUS or ALERT LED indicator keeps blinking or lights up steadily in orange.

I pushed the power button, the blue light was then blinking. Yesterday, I was not able to reach the Synology from the network. I currently have a DS416 (35 days old.) with 4*2TB Western Digital RED.
